Or
inside of, preferably. You think they’d trade for a Miata and a smol condo?
Finally finished up work. Boy, not my day. Ended up electrocuting my self (felt like a lot of needles concentrated in one place) , breaking my glasses (d’oh!) and not finishing deliveries. Ugh. Got the van fixed though.
This series of unfortunate events all stems from the absolute hubris of believing I could handle a Monday without coffee, simply because I went caffeine-free on my two days off. Lesson learned. I’m a slave to the juice, and that’s okay!

I to like unique architecture. Too much of what I see these days is so ummm boring and Impractical.

That is pretty sweet, looks solidly built, too. Kind of feels like a national pavilion from a world’s fair or something.

I flew night cargo for a while. Was up to 4 styrocups a day of the break-room brew. I tried switching to tea. Complete disaster. Felt like some junkie that had to have it and couldn’t get clean.

It doesn't look very 'homey' but I like it.

Is this in Bellevue?
I assume that as a child, the owner’s parents punished him/her by making them sit in a corner. They vowed never to let that happen again.

I really like the look. It feels like there should be monkeys in the trees around it.
I can say though that if the whole house has a similar shape furnishing the rooms can be a challenge. You can’t put large furnishings along the walls, and if each pod isn’t a single room you get weird acute angle walls that slow down cleaning. Granted in a house like that the last one isn’t the owner’s problem.

Here’s the front. Yeah, weird shapes present unique challenges.... I’d be more than up to trying to make it work though!

The address gives it away. I do a lot of trail running in the Issaquah/Preston area. I’ve been by there once when I took a spur off of the Grand Ridge trails.

The flak towers are 10 miles to the west.

When we were looking at houses we checked out a house that was a true mid-century modern. It was built by a custom builder in the 60’s.
The asking price was out of our range but our realtor encouraged us to look because that price was based on the fact that if you offered full asking price it included the furniture in all but two rooms. It was clear why because it was full of vintage and reproduction MCM pieces that were bought to go into specific places in the houses. The coolest were two Herman Miller chair copies that had little attached side tables (one attached on the left and one in the right) that perfectly fit into triangular bump out on the outsid e wall of the living room.
It also had one of the cool fireplaces like this in the den.
I had great plans of making that my lounge/bar.
There was just no way we could afford full asking price, and it would’ve been years before we could’ve gotten furniture that would actually fit the place. I’ll refrain from sharing the price though because I doubt you could move into a utility shed in your area for the price.

Neat. I found out last year, in the 50s-late 60s there was a secret Ajax/Nike radar site 1/4 mile from my grandparents. Kind of funny it was built right next to a NOAA site, and everyone just assumed to two were linked.
